Process and review all incoming invoices using various accounting software such as Workday, SAP, or QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Manage accounts payable transactions by verifying data entry accuracy, coding expenses correctly, and preparing journal entries for financial reporting.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain strong supplier relationships.
Ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls by documenting processes and supporting audit requirements with detailed records.
Collaborate with the procurement, finance, and human resources teams to facilitate seamless payments and benefits administration.
Assist in month-end closing activities including general ledger reconciliation, analysis of accounts payable aging reports, and preparation of audit documentation.
Support the implementation and ongoing use of financial systems like PeopleSoft, Kronos, or UltiPro for efficient data management.

Proven experience in accounts payable functions within a corporate or public accounting environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial concepts.
Proficiency with accounting software such as Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms; experience with HRIS systems like ADP or Ceridian is a plus.
Knowledge of SOX compliance procedures and internal controls related to financial reporting.
Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency).
Ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and analysis skills effectively.
Familiarity with payroll management systems like Kronos or UltiPro; experience in benefits administration or non-profit accounting is advantageous.
