About Momentum Solar

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in South Plainfield, New Jersey, Momentum Solar is a

leading residential solar provider serving homeowners across multiple U.S. markets. With more

than 2,000 employees and a vertically integrated business model, Momentum manages the

customer experience in house from initial homeowner outreach and system design through

permitting, installation, monitoring, and ongoing support.

Our mission is to help homeowners gain greater control over their energy costs by making clean,

renewable energy more accessible. We are also committed to developing our people, with

opportunities for high performing employees to grow into advanced sales, leadership, and other

positions throughout the organization.

About the Role

Momentum Solar is seeking motivated, resilient Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to

join our remote Inside Sales team. As an SDR, you will make outbound calls to residential

homeowners to generate interest in solar energy and schedule qualified appointments for

Momentum Solar's field representatives.

This is a high volume, cold prospecting role not an inbound customer service position. You will

spend the majority of your workday at a computer wearing a headset, speaking with homeowners

who may not be expecting your call. Success requires persistence, emotional resilience,

coachability, professionalism, and the ability to remain productive.

What You'll Do

Make high volume outbound calls to residential homeowners.
Introduce Momentum Solar and create interest in a solar consultation.
Identify the homeowner's electric provider and approximate monthly electric bill.
Follow Momentum's approved sales process and script.
Ask qualifying questions and identify homeowner needs or concerns.
Handle common objections such as “not interested,” “I'm busy,” “send me information,”

or “I need to speak with my spouse.”

Schedule qualified appointments for field Solar Consultants.
Prioritize same day and next day appointments when appropriate.
Verify homeowner contact and property information.
Accurately document customer information and call outcomes in company systems.
Meet established expectations for activity, appointment production, appointment quality,

attendance, communication, and professionalism.

Two Week Paid Training

New representatives complete a structured two week virtual training program.

Week 1 - Foundations

Learn Momentum Solar and residential solar fundamentals, the SDR sales process, script

execution, qualification, objection handling, systems, and appointment setting techniques.

Week 2 - Skill Development & Team Qualification

Apply those skills through live outbound calling, role-play, call reviews, coaching, QA feedback,

pitch execution, and performance evaluation.

Team placement is earned and is not guaranteed simply by completing two weeks of training.

Representatives must demonstrate the knowledge, sales execution, activity, appointment

production, QA performance, attendance, communication, professionalism, and coachability

required for successful placement.

What We're Looking For

You may be a strong fit if you:

Are comfortable making cold outbound calls.
Can handle frequent rejection without losing momentum.
Communicate confidently and establish rapport quickly.
Are competitive and motivated by measurable goals.
Accept coaching and apply feedback.
Can follow a structured sales process while sounding conversational.
Are comfortable working in a performance driven environment.
Can remain focused at a computer and headset for most of an eight hour workday.
Have reliable attendance and professional communication.
Maintain a quiet, distraction free remote workspace.
Have outbound sales, telemarketing, lead-generation, or appointment-setting experience;

prior sales experience is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

$18/hour base pay
Uncapped commission
Paid training
Approximately $60,000 annual earning potential for an average performing

representative

Approximately $80,000+ annual earning potential for top performers
Performance incentives and bonus opportunities
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Paid time off and paid holidays
Ongoing training and coaching
Career advancement opportunities

Earnings are not guaranteed and vary based on individual performance and commission

eligibility.

Remote Technology Requirements

Applicants must have reliable technology capable of supporting a professional remote sales

environment:

Windows 10/11 or currently supported macOS
Latest Google Chrome
8 GB RAM minimum; 16 GB recommended
Modern dual core processor minimum; quad core recommended
Wired USB/USB-C headset with microphone and echo cancellation
Reliable internet connection; wired Ethernet strongly preferred
Minimum 20 Mbps dedicated upload and 100 Mbps dedicated download
Quiet, professional workspace free from ongoing distractions

Is This the Right Role for You?

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys sales, competition, coaching, repetition, and the

challenge of turning cold conversations into opportunities.

If you are looking for primarily inbound calls, limited phone time, flexible work hours, or a

position where performance is not closely measured, this may not be the right fit.

If you are resilient, coachable, competitive, and motivated to build your sales career, we

encourage you to apply.

Momentum Solar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
