As a Procurement Technology Category Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving value and managing risk across Rocket’s technology spend. You’ll own sourcing, vendor relationships, and category strategy for software, hardware, and technology-related professional services. You’ll partner with IT, Engineering, Security, and the business to get the best value, terms, and risk posture. This individual contributor role is built for a procurement pro ready to take on greater ownership. You’ll balance day-to-day execution with strategic thinking and grow into more complex negotiations and deeper category ownership over time.

About The Role

Manage day-to-day sourcing for your assigned portion of the technology category, including RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
Partner with IT, Security, Engineering, and business units to understand technology needs and turn them into clear sourcing requirements.

Track and manage a pipeline of open requisitions and contracts, keeping them moving through approval, negotiation, and execution.
Conduct market research and benchmarking to support pricing and vendor selection decisions.
Support vendor performance reviews and renewal planning, and identify cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities within your category.
Ensure compliance with procurement policy, sourcing procedures, and contract standards, and keep accurate documentation of sourcing decisions, contract terms, and vendor communications.
