Lead Platform Engineer, Workday (Advanced Compensation)

We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Human Resource technology driving Capital One. As part of a team that’s leading the next wave of disruption on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One’s Human Resource Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and bring your expertise to drive innovative solutions.
General Responsibilities: Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business
Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Payroll and Benefits through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners
Support clients during Annual Events such as: Annual Talent/Performance, Merit, Open Enrollment, as needed
Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
Continually research, test and stay up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes and capabilities
Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation
Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective
Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues
Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 6 years of experience with Workday functional configuration tasks (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, Performance Management)
At least 2 years of experience configuring business processes within the Workday platform
At least 3 years of experience with calculated fields or custom reports
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
7+ years of experience with Workday functional configuration
Experience working in an agile delivery environment
Workday or Workday Pro certifications (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking or Performance Management)
4+ years of experience with Workday Security or Workday Reporting
4+ years of experience loading HCM data into Workday using existing Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB’s)
