Position Summary:
Bentley is seeking a highly motivated Compensation Specialist to join our dynamic and fast-growing organization. Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, this role is integral to both day-to-day compensation operations and key strategic transformation initiatives, including the expansion of Job Architecture and the implementation of Workday Compensation Modules.
As a Compensation Specialist, you will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and internal stakeholders to support global compensation strategies. This is a highly visible role that requires analytical acumen, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to ensure Bentley’s compensation programs remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
Role Responsibilities:
Compensation Program Support

Own the offer process and support talent acquisition and business partner groups on all compensation related processes.

Assist in the compensation survey submission process, ensuring accurate benchmarking and market competitiveness.

Conduct job benchmarking analysis, job evaluations, and salary administration to determine appropriate compensation ranges and pricing.

Monitor global compensation compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policies.
Data Analysis & Reporting

Prepare and analyze regular compensation reports to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.

Support the development of corporate compensation programs, aligning with the company’s overall talent management strategy.

Identify market trends and best practices to ensure Bentley’s compensation policies remain competitive.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Training

Working closely with the Senior Compensation Manager to develop and deliver training materials, tools, and job aids for Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners.

Assist in communicating and training internal teams on incentive policies, merit increases, and cost-of-living adjustments.

Contribute to the development of meaningful communications for compensation processes and programs to enhance colleague understanding and appreciation.
Compensation Planning / Special Projects / Retention programs

Support the administration of merit and cost-of-living increase policies and processes.

Assist in designing and developing corporate compensation programs and work closely with the business on retention programs, ensuring alignment with business strategy.

Participate in special compensation projects, including Workday system implementation and policy enhancements.
Role Requirements:
Experience & Technical Expertise

Minimum of 4 + years of experience in compensation program support, with technical knowledge of key compensation fundamentals.

Experience working for a public company with compensation coverage across multiple countries is required.

Hands-on experience with executive compensation programs and reporting is preferred.

Experience using Workday Compensation Modules is a plus.
