Workday HCM Systems Administrator
The ideal candidate for Candescent’s Workday Administrator role is a hands-on expert with experience configuring and maintaining Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system while providing a customer centric approach to the functional and technical support responsibilities that the role demands. “Workday HCM” at Candescent includes the HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Time & Attendance, Benefits, and Leave Administration modules. As the administrator, accountabilities include:
- Maintaining the Workday HCM system; serving as functional and technical expert
- Configuring annual merit cycles and benefit open enrollments.
- Modeling and maintaining the job architecture.
- Providing guidance to HR leaders on Workday best practices and if necessary, customizing Workday business processes to support business objectives
- Supporting Workday integrations with internal applications as well as third party external solutions; partnering with IT to review and test applicable system integrations, as required.
- Ensuring data and system integrity
- Providing unrivaled high-quality service to end users by responding promptly, communicating often and effectively troubleshooting unexpected results.
- Keeping Candescent compliant with HCM SOX control audits.
- Staying current on all Workday releases and fixes
- Configuring and testing enhancements and maintaining documentation of business processes.
- Participating in the regular review and prioritization of HR systems projects
- Identifying opportunities for improving the effectiveness of processes
- Assisting in the development of change management, communication, and training plans
- Adhering to all security, availability, confidentiality, privacy policies and controls
- Providing training to end users
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required with experience in human resources, business analysis, information systems or a related field required.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive human resources, information systems or related experience, preferably in a large corporation
Required Skills
- Workday HCM configuration experience
- Workday Advanced Compensation configuration and process launch
- Strong experience with the creation of condition rules and calculated fields.
- Experience in requirements gathering, fit gap analysis, design, test case creation preferably in Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
- Excellent writing skills for generating clear, concise release notes and documentation.
- Strong analytical capabilities coupled with business acumen needed to proactively solve problems facing the organization.
- Must be meticulous with high degree of accuracy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritizing is necessary.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style.
- High attention to detail
