Salary Range: $100,473.08 - $125,591.35 CAD per annum. Placement within the range is typically between the minimum and midpoint and based on qualifications and experience, subject matter expertise, and internal equity, with consideration for how the candidate is developing, meets, or exceeds the role’s requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Information Technology department is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative and analytical individual for the regular full-time position of Workday System Administrator.
Reporting to the Workday Product Solutions Manager, the Workday System Administrator (Administrator) is responsible for optimizing the Workday environment through system configuration, security administration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of system functionalities. The Administrator works closely with HR, Finance, and other organizational stakeholders to ensure seamless operation and enhancement of Workday modules.
This position partners with leadership and outside vendors and is accountable for defining, creating and controlling all project activities to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget and specified quality and support the rollout of new technology, development of applications and/or system enhancements. The Administrator designs processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, service delivery and enhanced end-user experience as well as develops reporting metrics and analytics for the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be/have:
- Post-secondary education in information technology, computer science, information management, business administration or a related program, plus at least 5 years of related experience* in a complex application management environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. *Related experience of implementing and/or supporting ERP or other enterprise systems may include:
- Practical Workday experience implementing and/or supporting the Workday ERP environment including experience in configuring Workday business processes and deep understanding of Workday data and structure, reporting, dashboards and Enterprise Interface Builders (IBs). Strong understanding of Workday system architectures.
- Experience in change management and user adoption strategies for enterprise systems.
- Engaging, influencing and effective delivery to peers, business users, senior business leaders and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated application management experience in an enterprise software environment.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
- Workday training is preferred and Workday certifications (e.g., Workday Pro, Workday Implementation Partner).
- Certificate in ERP technologies and/or certificate in ITIL..
- Project management certificate or certified Project Management Professional.
