Job Title: Payroll Coordinator
Location: Remote (Preferred Time Zones: CST or EST)
Duration: 3+ months (W2 Contract) – Potential for Conversion
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to manage payroll operations across the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and be highly proficient in Dayforce and Workday systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes including data entry, calculation, and paycheck/direct deposit distribution.
- Ensure compliance with all local payroll tax laws and reporting requirements.
- Review and validate payroll transactions and adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve payroll issues and discrepancies promptly.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate time and attendance records.
- Support payroll tax functions, including reconciliation and handling state inquiries.
- Assist with system implementations and upgrades related to payroll.
- Prepare required reports for internal use and government agencies.
- Participate in internal and external payroll audits.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of payroll processing experience (US & Canada required; international preferred).
- Dayforce experience is mandatory.
- Proficiency with Workday.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Education:
- Associate degree (minimum requirement), or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a related field.
Additional Information:
- Interview Process: Minimum of 2 virtual (Teams) interviews, 30–60 minutes each.
- Background Check: Required (Sterling – JG 3Plus).
