What You'll Be Doing
- Facilitate the hiring of hourly employees across various departments, ensuring a match between candidate skills and job requirements.
- Partnering with hiring managers to understand their talent needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates using various tools and methods, such as Workday Recruiting and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Managing the full cycle recruitment from job posting to offer acceptance, ensuring data accuracy and compliance in the recruitment system.
- Building and maintaining a strong talent pipeline for current and future opportunities, using data-driven approaches to identify and engage with passive candidates.
- Ensuring a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the process, providing timely feedback and communication.
- Initiating processes for background checks, reference checks, drug screens and physicals, and ensuring new hire paperwork and onboarding process is completed.
What Are We Looking For
- Post-secondary education required.
- 3 to 5 years' work experience as a Recruiter, preferably in a high-volume recruiting environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong knowledge of best practices and trends in recruitment and talent acquisition, especially in the use of digital tools and platforms.
- A passion for people and a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong organization skills and time-management abilities.
- An ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Action oriented and results focused.
- A high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and HRIS (Workday knowledge a plus).
- Ability to travel in Canada and the US.
