Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Workday Adaptive SME in Washington, DC. Summary: We are looking for a highly detailed and technically skilled Workday Adaptive Planning Administrator to oversee, enhance, and support our Adaptive platform. This position plays a key role in configuring the system, maintaining integrations, managing data, and ensuring the platform effectively supports the needs of our FP&A organization. Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main administrator for Workday Adaptive Planning, ensuring the environment is optimized to meet business requirements
- Maintain system integrity, including data structures, user roles, and overall model architecture
Security & Access Control:
- Manage user permissions, roles, and security profiles across levels and dimensions
- Conduct regular audits to confirm compliance with access policies and internal controls
- Develop, modify, and maintain planning models such as dimensions, hierarchies, accounts, versions, and organizational structures
- Configure and manage standard, modeled, and cube sheets; Build assumptions and formulas to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities
- Lead data imports, exports, and reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Create and maintain data validations and logic checks to uphold data quality standards
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues
- Execute ongoing maintenance tasks such as updates, backups, and patch-related activities
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, system changes, and administrative procedures
- Follow established change control processes when deploying updates or enhancements
- Partner closely with finance, IT, and business teams to ensure system configurations align with organizational needs
- Provide expert-level user support for configuration- and system-related inquiries
Requirements
- Strong experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (or similar EPM tools)
- Knowledge of FP&A processes, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Proficiency in system administration, including user access/security management
- Ability to design and maintain planning models, dimensions, and formulas
- Experience with data management, validation, and reconciliation
- Familiarity with ERP and HR systems integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Workday HCM)
- Understanding of integration platforms and ETL tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi)
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
