Salesforce is seeking a
Senior Workday HCM Engineer to join our IT Employee Success (HR Systems) Engineering team. This role will act as a technical lead across the
Workday ecosystem, bridging Core HCM with functional modules such as Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, and Payroll. The successful candidate will spearhead
complex backend integrations and be responsible for the full implementation lifecycle—from architectural design and configuration to automated testing and deployment—ensuring our HR technology stack is
scalable, secure, and seamless.

Top Responsibilities
Workday Design & Maintenance: Lead design, configuration, and maintenance of Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, and Payroll while supporting tenant and security protocols.
Integrations & Reporting: Build robust integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connect (CCB), Orchestrations, Workday Extend, and Web Services (SOAP/REST). Develop complex custom reports and calculated fields; utilize BIRT and XSLT for data transformation.
Automation & Testing: Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using tools like Kainos to reduce manual overhead.
Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure best practices across Workday systems.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain technical documentation, conduct audits, and ensure data integrity and security.

- Complete enablement on Salesforce processes and tools.
- Build relationships across IT and business stakeholders.
- Complete knowledge transfer and job shadowing phases.
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute solutions for HCM priorities.
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in full-lifecycle Workday HCM implementation, engineering, or systems analysis.
- Deep integration expertise: Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connect (CCB), Orchestrations, Extend, PECI/PICOF, XSLT, XML.
- Strong Web Services knowledge (SOAP, REST) and relational database languages (WQL/SQL).
- Reporting expertise: Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, BIRT.
- Automation: experience with Kainos or similar test automation tools and manual testing.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday Core HCM and at least one functional module: Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll.
- Solid understanding of Workday Security (Security Groups, Domains, BP Policies).
- Workday Certification required: Core HCM + one or more functional modules (Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll), and Integrations / Studio / Extend.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, global environment.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Advanced modules: Workday Adaptive Planning, Advanced Compensation, Talent, Time Tracking & Absence.
- DevOps: Familiarity with version control (GIT) and CI/CD systems.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MIS.
- Experience with Mulesoft development a plus.
