Location: Houston, TX - 100% onsite - Mon-Thurs 830-630, Fri 8-5
Comp: $130K-$150K
Position Overview
A fast-growing professional services organization is seeking a Senior Workday Specialist to support and enhance its Workday platform across the business. This role will serve as a key partner to HR and leadership, ensuring Workday is optimized, user-friendly, and aligned with evolving business needs.
This position blends hands-on system configuration and support with strategic process improvement and stakeholder collaboration.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the subject matter expert across Workday modules (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Talent, Time Tracking, Learning, etc.)
- Provide day-to-day system support including business processes, integrations, reporting, and dashboards
- Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system enhancements
- Configure and maintain Workday business processes, security roles, eligibility rules, and workflows
- Develop and enhance reporting and analytics to support data-driven decision-making
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with Workday support when needed
- Support system updates, releases, and ongoing platform improvements
- Identify gaps and recommend process improvements and best practices
- Lead or support projects related to system optimization and new functionality
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience administering and supporting Workday
- Strong configuration experience across Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Absence, and Performance
- Deep experience with Workday Recruiting module (critical)
- Advanced reporting skills (calculated fields, matrix/composite reports, dashboards)
- Experience with Workday security roles, compliance, and controls
- Understanding of integrations, troubleshooting, and system maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with stakeholders
Preferred
- Bachelor?s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or related field
- Workday certifications (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Reporting, etc.)
