Soni Resources is partnering with a luxury client near Robbinsville, NJ, on the search for a Workday Benefits/Payroll Implementation Specialist.
This individual will serve as a key functional resource focused specifically on payroll and benefits configuration, system mapping, integrations, and process alignment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Workday implementations, with a strong understanding of payroll and benefits workflows, technical mapping, and integration between Workday and payroll systems. Experience supporting U.S. payroll environments is required, while Canadian payroll and benefits exposure is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Support the payroll and benefits workstreams within a Workday implementation project
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into system solutions
- Assist with technical mapping and integration activities between Workday and payroll systems
- Configure, test, validate, and troubleshoot payroll and benefits functionality within Workday
- Support data mapping, data validation, and system testing efforts including UAT and parallel testing
- Ensure payroll and benefits processes are aligned with Workday best practices
- Identify and resolve integration or process issues impacting payroll and benefits operations
- Provide functional expertise and recommendations throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Assist with post-go-live support, issue resolution, and optimization efforts
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience working with Workday, specifically within payroll and benefits functions
- Prior experience supporting Workday implementation projects required
- Strong understanding of payroll system integrations and technical mapping within Workday
- Hands-on experience working with payroll and benefits modules/processes
- Experience supporting U.S. payroll operations required
- Canadian payroll and benefits experience strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate across functional and technical teams
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience with Workday testing, validation, and deployment activities preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Workday Payroll, Benefits, HCM, and/or Integrations
- Knowledge of Workday integration tools, EIBs, APIs, or middleware platforms
- Prior consulting or enterprise implementation experience
- Experience supporting multi-country payroll environments is a plus
Compensation: $55 - $60/Hr
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
