Senior Workday Integration Consultant
Location: Open (technical/remote-friendly); Spanish fluency required
Overview:
We're seeking a technical consultant to complete and stabilize an outbound Workday-to-Softland payroll file integration and an inbound payslip integration. This role works directly with Softland to gather technical specifications and delivers a production-ready, automated integration with full monitoring and support documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the existing Workday-Softland integration, including unfinished components
- Work directly with Softland (in Spanish) to obtain and validate:
- File specifications
- Required fields
- Field lengths and formats
- External payroll codes
- Validation rules
- SFTP and processing requirements
- Complete the outbound payroll interface from Workday to Softland
- Complete or validate the inbound payslip integration into employee profiles
- Configure missing mappings, including holidays, absence plans, earnings, deductions, and time-related codes
- Determine the appropriate Workday integration technology (Payroll Interface, EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, or transformation logic) based on current design
- Automate the currently manual integration and establish the required payroll cadence
- Configure logging, error handling, reconciliation, alerts, and restart procedures
- Establish and test the integration in an appropriate nonproduction tenant
- Support unit testing, end-to-end testing, parallel payrolls, cutover, and production stabilization
- Produce technical specifications and an operational support runbook
Required Qualifications:
- Deep Workday integration experience
- Specific experience with Workday Payroll Interface and external payroll vendors
- Strong file-based integration, transformation, SFTP, and inbound document experience
- Experience troubleshooting payroll data mappings and reconciliation failures
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Softland Cloud integration experience
