Workday HRIS Manager - Payroll - $150k + $15% Annual Bonus
We are partnered with a well-established global organization that are continuously seeking innovation within their Workday platform. They are currently seeking an experienced Workday HRIS Manager with specific experience working with Workday Payroll.
This is a unique set up due to this team sitting in between the HRIS Team and Payroll processing team. The successful candidate will oversee a team that are dedicated to the management and optimization of Workday Payroll. A clear focus of the role is on driving innovation and delivering AI initiatives, helping the Payroll team to stay at the cutting edge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Workday Payroll roadmap identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Lead requirement gathering activities with stakeholders, defining priorities across Workday Payroll.
- Manage the day-to-day HRIS team that are focused on Workday Payroll, whilst delegating work, setting deadlines and making sure processes and procedures stay up to date.
- Year-end/year-begin activities like W2’s
- Create and manage project plans, timeline, milestones, and communications.
- Work with IT on Workday releases, configurations changes and testing.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, regression testing, data files, and quality checks.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiently and system functionality.
- Lead project and support change management across Payroll function.
- Manage annual budget and personnel planning.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience with Workday Payroll, with strong skills in configuration and testing.
- Previous people’s management skills ideally, displaying strong communications skills and a collaborative approach to working.
- Experience leading Workday Payroll, ideally with Canadian background.
- Strong communications when speaking with stakeholders and HRIS to work on business processes.
