Senior Workday Financials Consultant – R2R Testing Position Overview
We are seeking Senior Workday Financials Consultants to support end to end testing and accounting readiness for an upcoming Workday HCM and Payroll deployment. The organization is integrating two businesses into an existing Workday environment and requires experienced Financials practitioners with deep Record to Report (R2R) expertise.
These consultants will work directly with Accounting stakeholders to validate financial processes, execute testing scenarios, identify defects, and ensure accounting requirements are addressed ahead of go live.
Key Responsibilities

Independently lead and execute end to end testing across Workday Financials and Record to Report processes.

Develop and execute test scripts and scenarios with minimal oversight.

Validate General Ledger, Financial Accounting, Close and Consolidation, and Financial Reporting processes.

Support data conversion validation and testing.

Identify, document, and manage testing defects through resolution.

Partner directly with Accounting stakeholders to validate business requirements and support accounting readiness.

Provide guidance on Workday leading practices throughout testing.
Required Qualifications

3+ years of hands on Workday Financials experience.

Deep functional expertise across Record to Report (R2R), including General Ledger, Financial Accounting, Close and Consolidation, and Financial Reporting.

Strong experience with Workday end to end testing, test script development, and defect management.

Experience with data conversion validation and business process testing.

Solid understanding of accounting processes and financial operations.

Ability to work independently, manage testing deliverables, and operate with minimal guidance.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
