Rare opportunity for remote AP Clerk! Seeking an experienced accounts payable clerk to lead the processing in a high-volume enviroment reporting in the AP Supervisor.

You will be primarily accountable for processing invoices for our global payables and ensuring timely payments. You will collaborate closely with department leads across the globe to facilitate invoice processing and approval workflows in our automated payables platform. Daily volume anticipated to be 30-50 invoices.

The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice Processing: Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner within our automated AP system.
Global Collaboration: Work effectively with staff and vendors residing across multiple international time zones.
Inquiry Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external AP inquiries, including vendors, employee expense reimbursements, and corporate credit cards.
System Administration: Manage user access within the payables platform, including activating new users and inactivating accounts upon termination.
Month-End Support: Assist with month-end closing tasks, reconciliations, and reporting related to accounts payable.
Tax Compliance: Support annual 1099 reporting requirements and compliance.
Ad-Hoc Projects: Complete other administrative duties and special financial projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
Experience: 4 years of dedicated experience in accounts payable or a similar corporate accounting role.
Remote Collaboration: Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment is required.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in MS Office, with strong MS Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables are a plus).
Experience with modern AP automation workflows and mid-to-enterprise ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, or similar) is highly preferred.
Familiarity with US tax reporting (1099s) is a plus.
