About
I define myself as a "People Enabler," using technical expertise to bridge the gap between complex HR systems and employee experiences. With over two decades of experience, I have demonstrated a passion for leveraging technology not just for administrative efficiency, but to empower people and optimise how they interact with their workplace. I transitioned from a graduate consultant to a Senior Specialist and Manager, consistently focusing on how digital transformation can simplify employee’s work.
I am experienced in solving complex synchronization and integration issues, ensuring that the systems employees rely on, such as payroll, time-tracking, and expense management, function seamlessly. Throughout my tenure at SAP, Transnet and BCX, I advocated digitisation and process re-engineering. By automating manual tasks and optimising delivery channels, I have directly empowered employees and managers to take ownership of their own HR data and processes.
My career extends beyond technical configuration into strategy. I have acted as a trusted advisor, ensuring HR solutions align with business goals while maintaining a human-centred focus. Whether implementing the SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) to improve user access security or re-designing time evaluation schemas to resolve long-standing issues, I have a persistent drive to improve the tech-human interface.
I have a proven track record of engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from union representatives to senior management, to ensure technology serves the needs of the entire workforce. My commitment to enabling others is evident in my role as a mentor to junior consultants and focus on creating clear user training and documentation to ensure technology adoption.
In summary, my career is evidence to the belief that technology is a powerful tool for human empowerment. I have spent over twenty years ensuring that HRIS platforms are not just systems of record but dynamic environments that support and enable the people who use them.
