Our food and beverage client is seeking an experienced Application Project Manager to lead and manage projects focused on Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL)systems. This contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented, results-driven professional with a strong background in financial applications and proven experience delivering projects using the Waterfall methodology. This position is open to candidates currently residing in Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end application projects related to AR, AP, and GL systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, IT, and third-party vendors to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations using Smartsheetand Jira.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Waterfall methodology throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate updates to senior leadership.
- Facilitate project meetings, document decisions, and track action items.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience with a focus on application or financial systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with Smartsheet and Jira is required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Must have experience with Waterfall methodology
- Experience with financial application implementation or migration projects strongly preferred.
- Background working in finance, accounting, or ERP system environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, NetSuite).
