Our client, a large Pharmaceutical company, is looking for an HR Operations Specialist, who will support their incentive compensation initiatives implementation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities. This role plays a critical part in validating system functionality from an end-user and business operations perspective, ensuring alignment with compensation plan design, HR policies, and business requirements. You will collaborate closely with Compensation, Sales Operations, and HRIS teams to test workflows, validate calculations, report anomalies, and ensure a smooth transition into live operations. This is a business-side role, and we are looking for candidates with strong understanding and previous experience with HR and compensation operations.
This is a 6 month, remote contract role with the possibility of an extension.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the execution of UAT scripts based on real-world HR and compensation use cases
- Validate incentive plan calculations, eligibility logic, data inputs, and outputs against business rules
- Participate in test planning, script development, and test case execution
- Log, track, and escalate UAT issues or inconsistencies in coordination with business stakeholders
- Ensure that system functionality aligns with compensation policies, HR operations standards, and compliance requirements
- Provide feedback on usability and business readiness from an HR Ops perspective
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Compensation, Sales Ops, HRIS, Compliance)
- Contribute to post-testing documentation, including sign-off and operational readiness checklists
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in HR Operations, Compensation, or Sales Compensation Administration, within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Direct experience with UAT support or participation in HR system implementations (Workday, SAP, Oracle, or compensation platforms like CallidusCloud, Xactly, etc.)
- Solid understanding of incentive compensation programs, especially in pharma sales contexts
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to validate data and calculations
- Experience working cross-functionally with business stakeholders
- Familiarity with compliance and data privacy considerations related to employee compensation
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
