Primary Purpose of Job
- Responsible for the clinical management of Advanced Practitioner roles to include monitoring and addressing clinical performance, ensuring clinical quality is consistent throughout the MedWise network of clinics. Provides clinical expertise in oversight of provider staff complying with MedWise’s philosophy and standards of practice as well as regulations of government agencies. Serves as a provider of clinical services within the scope of practice guidelines of the state in which the provider is employed by MedWise. Creates and maintains a positive environment for patients and colleagues at MedWise.
Position Responsibilities
Oversight-90% of Total Job
- Review and follow up on patient charts and patient experiences.
- Patient schedule review of patients treated vs. left without being seen.
- Perform chart audits for clinical monitoring at the center, organizational, and individual level.
- Audit prescription dispensing usage for cost effectiveness and patient convenience.
- Mentor Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for quality care delivery, clinical decisions, and ability to execute MedWise quality care standards.
- Monitor patient satisfaction scores to identify positive and negative trends needing intervention.
Leadership & Quality Improvement-10% of Total Job
- Continuously engage potential talent for both MedWise clinics and support staff; identifying individuals that would support MedWise’s vision, core values, and mission.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the MedWise network and provide education and training to clinical staff regarding best practices as defined by organizational policies and procedures.
- Stay current and up to date on all emerging healthcare industry and Urgent Care trends.
- Proactively and professionally engage in the advancement and improvement of MedWise clinics. e. Professionally raise vital questions, recognize problems and formulate clear and concise resolutions.
- Collaborate effectively with others in figuring out solutions to complex problems.
- Must review MedWise electronic communications.

Relationships
Inside the Company: All MedWise personnel.
Outside the Company: Vendors, service providers, local Emergency Response personnel, and the general public.
Position Specifications
1. Required education/license/certification:
a. Graduation from accredited undergraduate and graduate medical education programming.
b. Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or the combination of internal medicine and pediatrics.
c. License to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction of practice.
2. Desired education/certification:
a. N/A
3. Required experience:
a. Three years’ experience in clinical practice
4. Desired experience:
a. Three years of experience in a supervisory position managing providers to include Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
5. Required skills:
a. People-oriented, highly organized and self-motivated, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Sensory Requirements Worker must be able to hear, see and speak to supervisors, co-workers, internal customers and vendors, and to identify and deal with such via the telephone or in person in order to accomplish job responsibilities.
Physical Requirements This job requires that the worker be able to walk, sit, or stand for extended periods of time to perform work duties. Worker is required to hold items such as writing utensils and utilize hand and finger dexterity. This job requires the following:

Mental Requirements: Worker must be able to concentrate and perform work with many interruptions (persons and telephone). He/she must be able to conceptualize work delegated by manager in order to complete it correctly. He/she must learn new process as MedWise changes. He/she must be able to think through, reason and solve problems. He/she must maintain his/her composure with internal and external customers.
