Job Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative IT Business Analyst with expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools and experience supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementations. The successful candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, particularly focusing on HR, Work Management, and Finance modules within an ERP environment. This role requires a strategic thinker and effective problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements
- Support ERP system implementation, focusing on report development for HR, Work Management, and Finance modules in the Cayenta ERP system
- Conduct gap analysis, document business processes, and recommend process improvements
- Create test case scenarios and facilitate report testing and validation
- Generate and manage change requests for implementing reports in the production environment using ServiceNow
- Work closely with developers, data engineers, and IT teams to deliver solutions
- Perform data analysis and validation using SQL and other querying tools
- Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and ERP functionalities related to reporting
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT, with focus on BI and ERP systems
- Hands-on experience with Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, or Domino
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, especially in HR, Work Management, and Finance
- Proficient in SQL and data querying techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Preferred: Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar
- Preferred: BI certification or training in one or more reporting tools
- Preferred: Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
