We are looking for a skilled Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will oversee leave administration processes, manage benefits-related tasks, and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure employees receive the highest level of support. This position requires expertise in Workday and a strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
• Administer various types of leave requests, including family leave, short-term and long-term disability, and accommodations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
• Partner with third-party administrators to facilitate accurate and timely processing of disability claims and approvals.
• Manage leave-related data within Workday, ensuring all entries and tracking are current and accurate.
• Collaborate with HR teams, payroll, and external vendors to deliver a smooth leave experience for employees.
• Provide clear and empathetic communication to employees throughout the leave process, addressing questions and offering guidance.
• Maintain detailed and confidential records of all leave-related communications and transactions.
• Support benefits administration, including health and welfare plans, retirement contributions, and enrollment changes.
• Reconcile benefits invoices to ensure accuracy in billing and employee deductions.
• Deliver excellent customer service by assisting employees with benefits inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with key benefits regulations and company policies.
• Proven experience in administering leave of absence processes, including FMLA and disability claims.
• Strong proficiency in using Workday for data management and tracking.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to leave and benefits compliance.
• Experience managing health and welfare plans, retirement contributions, and employee enrollments.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to provide empathetic support to employees.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
• Analytical skills to reconcile and audit benefits-related invoices.
• Familiarity with key benefits regulations and compliance standards.
