Job Description Summary
The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for designing, analyzing, and administering compensation programs to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant pay practices. This role partners with HR, leadership, and business stakeholders to evaluate salary structures, incentive plans, and market trends to support talent attraction, retention, and performance. This position reports directly to the AVP, Compensation.
How Will You Make An Impact & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and maintain compensation structures for clinical, corporate, and healthcare technology roles
- Conduct job evaluations and market pricing using healthcare and technology compensation surveys (e.g., Mercer, Aon/Radford, Gallagher)
- Support compensation plans
- Develop and manage salary bands, pay grades, and variable pay programs for technical, operational, and clinical staff
- Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and business leaders to align compensation strategy with workforce needs and innovation goals
- Analyze market trends related to healthcare labor shortages, tech talent competition, and emerging digital health roles
- Perform pay equity, FLSA, and internal equity analyses to ensure fair and compliant pay practices
- Support annual merit, market adjustment, and incentive compensation cycles
- Analyze incentive programs for business areas
- Ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory requirements (FLSA)
- Create dashboards and reports on compensation trends, workforce costs, pay gaps, and talent retention risks
- Advise leaders on compensation decisions for hiring, promotions and off-cycle increases for critical skill roles
- Improve compensation processes through automation, analytics, and HR technology tools
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis, preferably in healthcare, health systems, or healthcare technology
- Strong proficiency in Workday
- Experience supporting compensation models (preferably healthcare and/or technology)
- Strong proficiency in Excel and HRIS/compensation tools (e.g., Workday, UKG, Oracle, PayScale, Radford)
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, pay equity laws, and compensation governance
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional), SHRM, or PHR
- Familiarity with technology compensation practices (software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, digital health)
- Experience using analytics or dashboards
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, HR, or Data Analytics
