(AAP Staff) a growing staffing and recruitment company who specializes in workforce solutions to organizations of all sizes is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Coordinator to support our payroll department. The ideal candidate will ensure that weekly payroll is completed accurately and on time, maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Process weekly payroll using the Avionté back-office payroll system.
- Review timekeeping records for completeness and compliance.
- Verify accuracy of payroll data, including wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local laws.
- Prepare and submit tax filings, including W-2, 941, and other relevant reports.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting purposes.
- Employee Support:
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve employee concerns.
- Educate employees on payroll processes and timelines.
- Collaborate with HR on timely and accurate communication regarding payroll-related updates.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work with HR to ensure employee data (e.g., new hires, terminations, and changes) is accurate and updated.
- Collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports.
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- System Maintenance:
- Assist in maintaining and updating payroll systems.
- Test system upgrades and new implementations to ensure seamless integration.
Qualifications:
- Payroll experience in multiple states a plus
- High volume payroll processing
- Minimum of 2-3 years in payroll processing or a related role.
- Experience with payroll systems such as Avionté, ADP, Workday, or Paycom.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with federal and state labor laws, including FLSA and tax regulations.
