Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our end-to-end HR operational processes while serving as a key HRIS leader for our Workday environment. This role will drive operational excellence across the employee lifecycle while ensuring our HR systems effectively support a fast-growing, global retail organization.
The ideal candidate will bring 7–10 years of progressive HR operations experience, with deep expertise in employee lifecycle management (onboarding, transfers, promotions, separations) and strong ownership of HRIS platforms, particularly Workday. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate HR data, scalable HR systems, and efficient HR processes that support both employees and business leaders.

What You Will Achieve
Lead HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee and manage end-to-end HR operational processes including onboarding, employee changes, promotions, transfers, and separations.
- Ensure consistent, compliant, and scalable lifecycle processes across a rapidly growing retail organization.
- Develop and maintain standardized HR workflows and documentation to improve efficiency and employee experience.
Own and Optimize Workday HRIS
- Serve as the primary HRIS owner and subject matter expert for Workday (ideally), ensuring the system effectively supports HR operations and business needs.
- Manage system configuration, security roles, data governance, business process frameworks, and reporting within Workday.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to automate HR processes and improve system utilization.
- Oversee HRIS integrations with other platforms such as payroll, onboarding tools, learning systems, and compliance platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy, data governance, and system compliance across all HR systems.
- Build and maintain HR dashboards and reports to support leadership decision-making and workforce planning.
Drive Operational Excellence Through Data
- Monitor and analyze HR operational metrics such as onboarding completion rates, lifecycle processing times, HRIS data accuracy, and system adoption.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable process improvements.
- Leverage HRIS reporting and analytics to support operational and strategic decisions.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage and develop a small HR Operations team, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management.
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, IT, Legal, and Finance to ensure seamless HR service delivery.
- Support leadership by providing operational insights and system capabilities that enhance HR effectiveness.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure HR operational processes comply with applicable multi-state U.S. employment laws and global labor requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits of HR data, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance and data integrity.
HR Operations Transformation
- Lead projects related to HR systems optimization, digital transformation, and process standardization.
- Support Workday enhancements, system upgrades, new module implementation, and automation initiatives.
- Help scale HR infrastructure to support POP MART’s continued growth across North America and globally.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7–10 years of progressive HR Operations experience in a corporate or multi-location environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee lifecycle management (onboarding, transfers, promotions, separations).
- Advanced experience with Workday HRIS, including system administration, reporting, business process configuration, and user support (ideally)
- Experience managing HR data governance, reporting, and HR system integrations.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR operational compliance requirements.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate HR data into operational insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in retail, multi-location, or global organizations is strongly preferred.
