Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Maintains and updates benefit records in the HRIS to provide vendors with
accurate eligibility information.
Serve as secondary point of contact for vendor relationships.
Conducts new-hire benefit orientations for junior and mid-level staff.
Performs audits and monthly reconciliation of benefits billing.
Partner closely with key stakeholders to ensure accurate data exchange,
successful file feed integrations, and root causing/solving file feed issues.
Process and support benefits onboarding, life-events, and off-boarding with
carriers, as needed.
Support absence processes and serve as a resource for time off, federal and
state leave related questions, processes and procedures.
Support administration and compliance of 401(k), Deferred Compensation, and
Pension plans.
First point of contact for all health and welfare inquiries from employees on plan
provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, contributions, and claim
issues.
Assists with Annual Open Enrollment process including review of employee
benefit communication materials.
Maintain benefit plan records and files.
Provide additional administrative support on employee benefit matters, as
needed.
Qualifications Required:
5-7 years of experience in employee benefits administration.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant experience.
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
Ability to learn and communicate benefit plan details.
