As the Onboarding & Team Member Experience Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and continuously improving the onboarding experience for new team members at Geode Health. This role partners closely with People Services leadership, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams to support our rapid growth while ensuring new employees feel welcomed, prepared, and connected from offer acceptance through early tenure.

This role requires the application of established processes and procedures, attention to detail, and effective coordination across teams.
Compensation: $22-25/hour depending on experience & education
Role Scope / Authority
Works within established processes and guidelines to coordinate onboarding activities and support team member experience. Does not have authority for hiring, discipline, or performance management.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding Program Development
- Collaborate with People Services leadership, hiring managers, and subject matter experts to develop, standardize, and continuously improve a structured and engaging onboarding program.
- Design and maintain onboarding materials, including welcome communications, schedules, handbooks, checklists, and presentations that reflect Geode Health’s mission, values, policies, and benefits.
- Incorporate interactive and multimedia learning elements to enhance engagement and retention of key onboarding information.
- Gather feedback from new hires and stakeholders to support ongoing program improvements.
Onboarding Logistics & Coordination
- Own the onboarding experience for new hires from offer acceptance through orientation and early employment.
- Coordinate onboarding logistics, including scheduling orientation sessions, managing facilities and technology needs, and partnering with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, addressing questions and providing timely, professional support.
- Review and monitor background checks through Checkr and coordinate required meetings with hiring managers.
- Oversee technology kit orders and onboarding-related equipment needs.
- Coordinate Mental Health First Aid training and registrations for applicable office staff.
- Facilitate onboarding trainings as needed.
Communication & Engagement
- Maintain consistent communication with new hires through email and text messaging to provide guidance, reminders, and support throughout the onboarding process.
- Create an engaging onboarding experience that builds excitement, clarity, and connection to Geode Health.
- Identify opportunities to simplify messaging and improve communication cadence based on common questions and feedback.
- All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in onboarding, employee experience, HR operations, or a related field
Work Environment
- Remote, Eastern or Central Time Zone working hours
- Standard office environment with occasional travel per business need
- May involve weekday evening hours to accommodate team member schedules
- Ability to work during normal business hours in Central or Eastern time zones
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Fine finger coordination required for typing, pressing objects such as utilizing laptop/mouse for communication and documentation purposes
- Ability to speak clearly with team members so others can understand
- Ability to hear and understand others when speaking
- Ability to view computer screen monitor
