Overview:
The Program Manager is responsible for the profitable growth and retention of mid-size direct sales business accounts. This role requires a strong ability to drive relationship-building and strategic planning to attain or exceed annual revenue and gross margin targets while achieve a contribution margin accretive to our company goals.
The Program Manager serves as the single point of contact for accounts requiring centralized decision-making, contract negotiation, business growth in new products and locations, and determining and executing sales and marketing strategies.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Act as primary contact for the buyer in small to medium size accounts ($4M or less)
- Deliver assigned quota and gross margin targets for the book of business assigned.
- Negotiate pricing, value added services, and contract terms.
- Manage and support multiple National Account Clients through a profitable partnership ensuring lasting relationships that generate high quality revenue.
- Develop and execute a sales and marketing plan for each customer, and if needed each location, to maximize profitable volume.
- Compile and execute business reviews to advance the partnership between Vestis and the client including key business metrics, opportunities for improvement, and a concise scorecard measuring our joint achievement on established metrics and targets.
- Identify and communicate solutions to client needs and use project management methods to deliver exceptional client experiences such as customer facing reporting, accurate invoicing, and supply chain forecasting.
- Execute price increases in a timeline manner.
- Monitor existing programs for margin performance and growth opportunities.
- Within assigned accounts, act as liaison for all resources required to successfully manage each account
- Manage program roll downs and roll outs
- Plan Vestis participation in customer events, trade shows, meetings, and manage the schedule and the process
- Prepare bids, defining product specs, pricing, and terms of agreements
- Serve as main point of contact for account or business unit information in the development of collateral pieces, trade show displays, catalogs and other marketing materials
- Provide analysis of sales data and provide reports, as necessary, to sales management and the sales teams to assist in targeting high potential customers, increasing territory market share, and defining pricing strategy
- Work with design in developing new programs that fit with the customers brand image and within the required price points
- Develop and manage internal communication program to ensure all business unit or account team members are informed of current programs, projects and issues
- Work with credit on potential credit issues
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience with at least 3 years in a selling role or account management role.
- Demonstrated performance through sales target and retention target achievement.
- Jobholder must possess excellent data and business analysis skills and be proficient in Excel
- Very strong oral and written communications skills and Project management skills required
- Ability to operate comfortably at all levels within Vestis and customer organizations
- Ability to make decisions and accept accountability
Locations: This position is remote in the and candidates can be anywhere in the Eastern half of the United States (Central or Eastern time zones)
