Job Title: Landscape Crew Lead / Working Lead – Hardscape & Outdoor Living
Job Description:
Nova Scapes is a locally owned landscaping and hardscaping company serving homeowners across Northern Virginia since 2013. We build outdoor living spaces, install paver patios and retaining walls, and maintain residential properties across Bristow, Gainesville, Haymarket, Manassas, and the surrounding communities.
We are hiring a Working Crew Lead to join our team full-time. This is a hands-on field role with added responsibility. You will work alongside the crew, demonstrate proper installation techniques on-site, handle material pickups and supply runs throughout the day, and keep jobs moving from start to finish.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work on residential landscaping and hardscaping job sites across Northern Virginia daily
- Demonstrate installation techniques to crew members on-site, including paver patios, retaining walls, walkways, and outdoor living features
- Pick up materials and supplies from local suppliers throughout the workday to keep crews on schedule
- Assign and adjust daily tasks based on crew capacity and job progress
- Serve as the go-between for the field crew and the office, communicating job status, material needs, and any issues
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe
- Conduct daily safety walkthroughs and make sure crew members follow safe work practices
- Interact professionally with homeowners when on-site and represent Nova Scapes well
- Maintain and organize company trucks, trailers, and equipment
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- 2 or more years of hands-on experience in landscaping, hardscaping, lawn care, or a related outdoor trade
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (you will drive company vehicles and make supply runs)
- Prior experience guiding or leading a crew, even in an informal capacity
- Strong reliability and communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and adapt when the schedule changes
Preferred:
- Experience with paver installation, retaining wall construction, or hardscape features
- Familiarity with suppliers and supply houses in Northern Virginia or Prince William County
- Experience operating compact equipment including skid steers or mini excavators
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds regularly
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions including summer heat
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the full workday
