Senior Compensation Data Analyst
Pay Rate: $60 - $73 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary (through end of year)
Position Summary
The Senior Compensation Data Analyst is responsible for delivering data-driven insights to support the design and administration of competitive and equitable compensation programs. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to analyze market data, develop pay structures, and provide actionable recommendations aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with the ability to translate complex data into strategic compensation decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of salary structures, incentive plans, and compensation guidelines
- Analyze complex compensation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Provide recommendations for compensation decisions including offers, promotions, and adjustments
- Conduct market benchmarking, participate in compensation surveys, and interpret external data
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of compensation data across systems and support data governance efforts
- Partner with HR systems (e.g., Workday) to support reporting and analytics needs
- Assist with global compensation initiatives, ensuring alignment with regional practices and regulations
- Support job architecture, including job descriptions and leveling structures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in compensation, data analytics, or a related discipline
- Strong experience working with large datasets and compensation modeling
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday
- Experience with compensation surveys and market benchmarking methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and translate data into actionable business insights
