Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings.
- Comfort working with populations demonstrating adverse/aggressive behaviors, including self-harm, property destruction, elopement, and aggression.
- Strong collaboration skills with educators, paraprofessionals, and families.
- Dedication to fostering independence, positive coping, and daily life skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based OT services to students, focusing on sensory, developmental, and functional goals.
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions.
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings.
- Prepare environments and materials to maximize student engagement and safety.
- Support crisis intervention efforts as part of a multidisciplinary team.
