We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Open Enrollment Specialist to support our benefits team during the annual open enrollment period. This is a short-term contract opportunity from mid-October to early-November. An ideal opportunity for someone with prior HR, benefits, or customer service experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit options, enrollment processes, and deadlines
- Provide accurate and timely responses to benefit-related inquiries via phone, email, and chat
- Assist employees with navigating enrollment systems and troubleshooting issues
- Review and verify enrollment data for accuracy and completeness
- Support the administration of health, dental, vision, retirement, and voluntary benefits
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times
- Help create or distribute open enrollment communications and materials
Qualifications
- Licensed in Health & Life in home state required
- Previous experience in HR, benefits administration, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Comfortable working with HRIS systems and benefits platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, or similar)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines during peak periods
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience supporting open enrollment cycles
- Familiarity with employee benefits (medical plans, FSA/HSA, 401(k), etc.)
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
Schedule Expectations
- Availability during standard business hours, with potential for overtime during peak enrollment deadlines
