Workday Financials Reporting Analyst
Location: Birmingham, AL OR Remote c(onsidered for exceptional candidates with periodic travel)
About the Role
We're looking for a Workday Financials Reporting Analyst to own and enhance reporting across our client's Workday platform. This is an opportunity to partner closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, and business leaders to deliver meaningful reporting, dashboards, and analytics that support strategic decision-making.
While we'd ideally like someone based in or near Birmingham, AL who can work in a hybrid capacity, they're open to remote candidates
What You'll do
- Design, build, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards, and calculated fields.
- Workday Financials experience required
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
- Develop advanced reporting using Matrix, Composite, Trending, and BIRT reports where appropriate.
- Build and maintain Workday Report Writer solutions and optimize existing reports for performance and usability.
- Create and maintain calculated fields, prompts, report security, and report sharing.
- Support reporting for Finance.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide ongoing production support.
- Ensure reporting follows governance, security, and data integrity best practices.
- Document reporting solutions and support knowledge transfer across the team.
- Stay current on new Workday reporting functionality and recommend improvements.
What We're Looking
- For 3+ years of hands-on Workday reporting experience.
- Workday Financials experience required
- Strong experience building complex Workday Financial reports from scratch.
- Deep understanding of Report Writer, calculated fields, business objects, data sources, prompts, and report security.
- Experience with Composite Reports, Matrix Reports, Dashboards
