We're partnering with a global financial services firm that is adding a Head of US Benefits to the team. This is a brand-new position created because of the company's continued growth and investment in its people. This person will support approximately 500 employees across multiple U.S. offices and will have the opportunity to build processes, influence strategy, and elevate the overall employee experience.
What you'll be doing:
You'll own all aspects of U.S. benefits, from strategy through day-to-day administration. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with senior leadership, Finance, Payroll, Legal, and HR to ensure the company's benefits programs remain competitive, compliant, and scalable.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the overall U.S. benefits strategy, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefit programs
- Evaluating current plans and recommending enhancements based on employee feedback, market trends, and cost analysis
- Managing relationships with brokers, insurance carriers, and external vendors, including renewals and contract negotiations
- Driving annual Open Enrollment from planning through execution, including employee communications and education
- Overseeing benefits administration within Workday and ensuring data integrity across HRIS, payroll, and carrier systems
- Partnering with Payroll on leave administration, deductions, and benefits processing
- Ensuring compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Section 125, and other applicable federal and state regulations
- Managing plan documentation, regulatory filings, audits, and reporting
- Serving as the internal expert for complex employee benefits questions and partnering with HR leadership on policy development
- Building scalable processes as the organization continues to grow
What we're looking for:
- 10+ years of dedicated U.S. benefits experience with ownership of large, complex benefit programs
- Financial services industry experience is required
- Experience managing brokers, carriers, and third-party vendors
- Strong understanding of benefits compliance and regulatory requirements
- Hands-on experience with Workday Benefits or a comparable HRIS
- Comfortable partnering with executive leadership and presenting recommendations
- Someone who enjoys building processes, solving problems, and taking ownership
Compensation & Schedule:
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote
- Standard business hours
- Target base salary is $150-200k, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates
