Position: Payroll Specialist
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates local to Pittsburgh, PA will be required to visit the office once every few months to pick up mail.)
Employment Type: Contract (6–8 months)
Eligibility: U.S. Citizens only
Assessment: Candidates must complete the Payroll Specialist Assessment in Glider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule across the enterprise.
- Review and validate employee timekeeping records.
- Administer payroll activities for employees on Leave of Absence (LOA).
- Perform payroll audits and reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain payroll and employee data in Workday and payroll systems.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with excellent customer service.
- Support payroll compliance while maintaining confidentiality.
- Partner with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of payroll or related experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with Workday and UKG.
- Data entry experience.
- Payroll audit and reconciliation experience.
- Experience handling confidential employee information.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2–3+ years of Workday and UKG experience.
- Multi-state payroll experience.
- Payroll-related certifications.
