The HRIS Analyst will support a strategic reporting modernization initiative focused on transitioning legacy SQL-based reports into Workday. This role will partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to analyze existing reporting structures, translate SQL logic into Workday reporting solutions, and improve overall reporting efficiency.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document existing SQL reports, data tables, and reporting logic.
- Convert and recreate SQL-based reports within Workday reporting tools.
- Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency between legacy SQL reports and new Workday reports.
- Develop, modify, and optimize Workday reports including advanced, matrix, and composite reports. - Troubleshoot reporting issues and investigate data discrepancies.
- Manage incoming tickets related to report creation, modifications, and enhancements.
- Collaborate with HR, payroll, benefits, and other functional teams to gather reporting requirements.
- Create dashboards and reporting visualizations for business stakeholders. - Participate in reporting cleanup initiatives and data governance efforts.
- Support user testing, validation, and deployment of newly migrated reports.
- Document reporting processes, technical specifications, and best practices.
- Assist with Workday reporting optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience with Workday reporting.
- Strong SQL knowledge and understanding of relational databases.
- Experience translating SQL queries and reporting logic into Workday reports.
- Ability to analyze data structures, tables, and reporting requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting HRIS environments and reporting functions.
