Contingent Cultivation TechnicianOverview
We are seeking dependable and hardworking Contingent Cultivation Technicians to join our on-call cultivation labor team.
This is a flexible, as-needed position supporting our cultivation team during labor-intensive days such as harvests, pruning, defoliation, post-harvest processing, room turnovers, and large-scale cleaning.
Previous cannabis cultivation experience is preferred. More importantly, we are looking for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, efficient, and comfortable performing physical and repetitive work as part of a team.
There is no regular schedule or guaranteed number of hours. Available workdays will typically be offered 2 days to 2 weeks in advance, and you are free to accept or decline based on your availability. There is no penalty for declining work; however, once you accept a workday, attendance and punctuality are expected.
Reliable, productive technicians will be prioritized for future opportunities. Outstanding candidates may also be considered for permanent part-time or full-time positions as they become available.
Responsibilities
Assignments may include:
- Harvesting, cutting, hanging, and handling cannabis plants
- Pruning, defoliation/deleafing, and general plant maintenance
- Debucking and hand trimming
- Assisting with post-harvest processing
- Moving plants, materials, supplies, and equipment
- Cleaning and sanitizing cultivation rooms, equipment, tables, floors, and work areas
- Full room cleaning, reset, and turnover following harvest
- Cleaning hallways, workstations, common areas, and other assigned facility areas
- Removing plant waste and maintaining clean and organized work areas
- Following instructions from cultivation management and team leaders
- Performing other cultivation-related labor as assigned
Scheduling
This is an on-call, as-needed position. When additional help is required, available workdays will be sent to the contingent team.
You may pick up the days that work with your schedule and decline those that do not.
Once you accept a workday, we rely on you to show up on time and complete the assignment. Attendance, reliability, productivity, and work quality will determine priority for future opportunities.
Compensation
- Payment by check at the end of each completed workday
- Compensation based on the assigned work
- No guaranteed minimum number of hours or workdays
Requirements
- Some previous hands-on cannabis cultivation experience
- Familiarity with tasks such as harvesting, pruning, defoliation, de-bucking, trimming, plant handling, or cultivation cleaning
- Comfortable performing physical and repetitive work for extended periods
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, kneel, and safely lift and move cultivation materials
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team
- Willingness to perform cleaning, sanitation, and room-turnover duties
- Dependable and punctual for accepted workdays
- Ability to follow all facility safety, sanitation, security, and regulatory requirements
Ideal Candidate
This position is ideal for someone with cannabis cultivation experience who wants flexible supplemental work without committing to a regular weekly schedule.
We are looking for people who are dependable, productive, willing to learn, and ready to work. Strong performers will receive priority for future work and may be considered for permanent positions when opportunities become available.

- Cleaning is an important part of this position. Are you comfortable participating in cultivation room cleaning, room turnovers, equipment cleaning, floor and workstation cleaning, and end-of-day cleanup?
- This is an as-needed position with no guaranteed weekly schedule or minimum number of workdays. Work opportunities are typically offered 2 days to 2 weeks in advance, and you are free to accept or decline based on your availability. Does this arrangement work well for you?
- Once you accept a workday, attendance and punctuality are extremely important. Can you reliably arrive on time and complete the workday for assignments you accept?
