Workday Reporting Analyst
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a major HR systems transformation as the organization migrates from PeopleSoft to Workday.
This role will partner closely with HR stakeholders, technical teams, and external implementation partners, including Accenture, to ensure Workday reporting and analytics are fully prepared for deployment. The analyst will also provide reporting support during the post-deployment hypercare period.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience building Workday reports, working with large datasets, validating data accuracy, and identifying discrepancies with precision. Workday expertise is essential; experience with Workday Prism Analytics is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain Workday reports and dashboards to support HR and business requirements.
- Partner with HR, IT, and Accenture teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
- Support PeopleSoft-to-Workday data validation, reconciliation, and reporting readiness activities.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify data mismatches, inconsistencies, missing information, and reporting issues.
- Perform data quality checks and investigate discrepancies across employee, organizational, compensation, benefits, and other HR data.
- Support report testing, validation, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
- Prepare reporting documentation, data validation results, issue logs, and status updates.
- Assist with Workday deployment readiness and provide reporting and analytics support during hypercare.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot reporting issues and deliver timely, accurate solutions.
- Ensure reports align with business requirements, data governance standards, and security guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining reports in Workday.
- Experience working with large datasets and performing detailed data analysis and reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of HR data, reporting concepts, and data quality practices.
- Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve data mismatches accurately.
- Experience supporting system implementations, migrations, testing, deployment, or hypercare activities.
- Strong SQL, Excel, or comparable data analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with HR, IT, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Prism Analytics.
- Experience supporting a PeopleSoft-to-Workday migration.
- Familiarity with Workday security, calculated fields, report fields, and data sources.
- Experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, integrations, or related HR technology tools.
- Previous experience working with large-scale HR transformation programs.
