Key Responsibilities:
Commission Calculation & Processing
- Accurately calculate and process monthly commissions based on established sales pay plans.
- Prepare and distribute commission statements and payroll files within set deadlines.
- Maintain and improve commission models, tools, and methodologies.
- Process adjustments and exceptions consistently and fairly.
- Audit sales performance data to ensure commission accuracy.
Inquiry Resolution
- Respond to and resolve commission-related inquiries from sales staff and management.
- Investigate customer transactions and sales data to support issue resolution.
Data Management
- Manage and record sales and commission data in platforms such as PestPac, Xactly, or similar systems.
- Maintain organized records of all earnings, adjustments, and pay-outs.
Audit & Compliance
- Support audits and ensure accurate reporting of commission payments.
- Validate all commission adjustments against compensation policies and plan documents.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and compliance standards.
- Maintain process documentation to support audit readiness.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, HR, IT, and Accounting teams.
- Provide training and communication to sales teams on compensation processes and plan structures.
- Partner with leadership to support budgeting and forecasting of compensation costs.
- Assist with implementation and optimization of compensation systems.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Participate in change management initiatives related to compensation administration.
Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct plan effectiveness analysis and market research to support compensation strategies.
- Deliver regular and ad hoc reports to stakeholders and leadership.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2–5 years in sales compensation, finance, or sales operations. Prior team lead experience is preferred.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling).
- Experience with sales compensation software (e.g., Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Varicent, or Anaplan).
- Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, SAP).
- Analytical Skills: Strong data interpretation and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Ability to clearly explain complex data to diverse audiences.
- Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to resolving inquiries.
- Attention to Detail: Consistent accuracy in calculations, data entry, and reporting.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Change Management: Experience driving process improvement and adapting to evolving systems is a plus.
