Multi-state licensed PMHNP with several years of experience as a psychiatric RN and as an NP with a primary office in Texas, looking for a physician collaborator in the state of Michigan. This is for an outpatient practice focusing on patients from ages 6 and up with mild to moderate mood, anxiety, thought, and neurodevelopmental disorders with commercial insurance. The NP utilizes a conservative prescribing approach based on industry-approved guidelines/references.
The collaborating physician should have a current, valid license to practice medicine in Michigan, be board certified (preferably in psychiatry), and have an active DEA license in Michigan.
The ideal physician collaborator should be comfortable: collaborating with the PMHNP in the NP-owned practice where controlled substances are prescribed by the NP (physician does not need to send in controls in the state of Michigan), being available during the workday for PRN communication, offering occasional mentorship, reviewing a few charts, and providing guidance, as appropriate, on best practices. The physician would ideally be knowledgeable in regards to the Michigan collaboration rules/regulations between NPs and physicians. Please send CV.
