Workday HRIS Administrator - Benefits & Core HCM Reporting

Our client, a global leader in aerospace R&D, is seeking a contract Workday HRIS Administrator with certifications and core competencies in Benefits & Core HCM Reporting to help support their internal team. The Workday HRIS Administrator (Benefits & Core HCM Reporting) supports the ongoing operation and enhancement of the Workday HCM platform with a primary focus on benefits administration, Core HCM configuration, and enterprise reporting. This role ensures accurate processing of critical HR business cycles and delivers reliable, validated reporting to support operational, compliance, and leadership decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday Core HCM and Benefits modules in alignment with approved business requirements.
- Support critical business cycles including Open Enrollment, benefits administration, compensation events, and organizational changes.
- Develop, maintain, and validate standard, advanced, and matrix Workday reports to support HR operations, compliance, audits, and leadership requests.
- Fulfill recurring and ad hoc data requests with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.
- Perform data quality checks and partner with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or reporting issues.
- Support Workday business process framework configuration, supervisory organizations, and position management structures.
- Assist with integration testing and troubleshooting related to benefits and Core HCM data flows.
- Conduct impact assessments and regression testing prior to deployments; document all configuration and reporting changes.
- Provide functional guidance on Workday HCM and Benefits best practices and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with HRIS, HR, IT, and cross-functional teams; provide timely updates, documentation, and issue escalation.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in HRIS, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Workday certification(s) in Core HCM and Benefits.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting complex Workday environments.
- Strong experience with Workday reporting, data validation, and audit-ready deliverables.
- Knowledge of Workday business processes, benefits administration workflows, and reporting standards.
- Ability to apply Workday-recommended methodologies, testing protocols, and documentation practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to support knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
