MSIG USA are seeking an experienced Technology Recruiting Contractor to support our hiring needs on a part-time, flexible basis, scaling effort up or down based on active demand. This role partners closely with Hiring Managers and the HR Business Partner to identify, attract, and pre-qualify high-quality technology talent aligned to both technical requirements and cultural fit in a fast-paced, growing insurance organization.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technology recruiting background, the ability to independently source candidates, and a consultative mindset focused on quality, speed, and partnership.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Proactively source qualified technology candidates through:
- Personal and professional networks
- LinkedIn Recruiter and other external sourcing platforms
- Referrals and targeted outreach strategies
- Build and maintain ready-to-engage talent pipelines for recurring and anticipated technology roles
- Apply creative sourcing approaches for hard-to-fill or niche skill sets
Candidate Screening & Pre-Qualification
- Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess:
- Relevant technology experience and career level alignment
- Core skills based on role requirements (without performing deep technical testing)
- Communication skills, professionalism, and overall presentation
- Evaluate resumes and backgrounds to determine whether candidates meet minimum and preferred qualifications
- Screen for soft skills and behaviors critical to success in a growing, change-driven insurance environment, including:
- Adaptability and learning agility
- Collaboration and stakeholder communication
- Accountability and ownership
- Comfort operating in evolving or ambiguous environments
Hiring Manager & HR Partnership
- Partner closely with Hiring Managers to:
- Clarify role expectations, scope, and success criteria
- Align on required vs. “nice-to-have” skills
- Provide guidance on market availability and candidate profiles
- Act as a trusted advisor to the HR Business Partner by:
- Supporting overall hiring strategy and workforce planning needs
- Ensuring consistency with organizational values, competencies, and hiring standards
- Flagging risks, misalignment, or opportunities early in the process
Recruiting Process & Workday Management
- Manage recruiting activities within Workday Recruiting, including:
- Candidate tracking and status updates
- Screening documentation and dispositioning
- Ensuring accurate and timely system updates
- Maintain compliance with internal recruiting processes and data standards
- Provide timely feedback and communication to candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience
Quality, Experience & Continuous Improvement
- Balance speed and quality, ensuring managers only meet with well-qualified, well-screened candidates
- Represent the company professionally in the external market
- Identify opportunities to improve sourcing effectiveness, screening quality, and candidate experience
- Share insights on market trends, compensation expectations, and competitive talent dynamics
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience recruiting for technology roles, such as:
- Software development
- Data, analytics, or engineering
- Agile / PMO roles (Scrum Masters, Product Owners, BAs, etc.)
- Ability to confidently review and interpret technical resumes and career progression
- Experience sourcing candidates directly (not solely resume review or agency intake)
- Strong interviewing and behavioral screening skills
- Experience using Workday Recruiting (required)
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting within: Insurance or financial services
- High-growth or transformation-focused organizations
- Familiarity with competency-based interviewing
- Experience partnering closely with HR Business Partners and senior hiring leaders
- Comfort working independently with minimal oversight
Work Arrangement
- Contract / Contingent role
- Part-time, as needed, based on hiring volume
- Flexible schedule with availability to meet hiring timelines
- Remote or hybrid, depending on needs
