About the Role
The Manager, Workday HRIS will lead the day-to-day execution, support, and optimization of the organization’s HR technology ecosystem, with a primary focus on Workday HCM. This role owns operational delivery, system stability, and ongoing enhancements across multiple Workday modules while partnering closely with HR Centers of Excellence, IT, and business stakeholders. The position manages HRIS analysts and coordinates external AMS and vendor partners to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. The role also leads Workday release management, system governance, and data integrity efforts. This position reports to the Director of Total Rewards & HR Systems.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, annual bonus eligibility, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Location
2-3 days onsite in Novi, MI.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop HRIS analysts while managing AMS and vendor partners to deliver consistent, scalable HRIS support
- Own Workday production support, including incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and system stability
- Drive the HRIS enhancement lifecycle by prioritizing intake, aligning to the roadmap, and delivering solutions in partnership with HR and IT stakeholders
- Translate business and functional requirements into effective Workday configurations and system solutions
- Lead semi-annual Workday releases, including impact assessment, testing, communications, and post-release stabilization
- Ensure data integrity, integrations, reporting accuracy, and system controls through audits and reconciliations
- Oversee Workday security and access governance, including role design, access reviews, audit readiness, and SOX support
- Maintain documentation, standard processes, and change management practices to support adoption and long-term stability
- Proactively escalate risks, trade-offs, and prioritization conflicts with clear recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience supporting and enhancing Workday HCM across multiple modules (e.g., Core HCM, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Absence)
- Experience leading production support, intake processes, requirements analysis, and system enhancements
- Prior experience managing or coordinating analysts and external vendors or AMS partners
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting a global organization
