Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to join our Benefits team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of experience in benefits administration. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our colleague benefits programs, assist colleagues with benefits-related inquiries, and ensure that benefits offerings are effectively communicated. Key Responsibilities:
- Benefits Administration Support: Assist with the daily administrative functions of colleagues benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Colleague Assistance: Serve as a point of contact for colleague’s benefits-related questions and assist with issues related to enrollment, life events, and plan coverage.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate colleague benefits records in the HR system. Update colleague benefits information as needed and ensure data integrity.
- Compliance Support: Help ensure benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations, such as ACA, FMLA, COBRA, and HIPAA. Assist with documentation and reporting for compliance purposes.
- Benefits Communication: Help prepare and distribute benefits communications, including benefits guides, plan summaries, and updates to colleagues.
- Colleague Education: Assist in organizing benefits information sessions or webinars to help colleagues understand their benefits options.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR field.
- Hands-on experience using Workday for benefits management.
- Knowledge of employee benefits programs and basic HR compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of benefits laws, including ACA, FMLA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
- Experience with benefits communication tools or platforms.
