Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned strategic and analytical
Principal, Global Compensation Partner to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company compensation functions. Conducts job evaluation and salary surveys, establishes salary structures, reviews job descriptions, develops salary budgets and prepares policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation. Works with HR Business Partners and business leaders to assess competitive labor market trends. Maintains a working knowledge of federal and state legislation that may affect compensation policies. In this high-impact role, you will serve as a key internal consultant, leveraging data-driven insights to ensure our pay practices remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory: Act as a subject matter expert for leadership on complex compensation matters, including job evaluations, offer benchmarking, and the design of Salary structures, maintaining flexible job architecture.
- Program Administration: Oversee the full lifecycle of global and domestic compensation cycles, including annual merit increases, incentive compensation plans.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive internal and external market analyses. Translate data into actionable recommendations to maintain our competitive edge in the talent market while partnering with the Talent Acquisition Team.
- Process Innovation: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve the efficiency of the Compensation function utilizing AI tools. Develop and document "best practice" procedures to enhance team scalability.
- Data Integrity & Compliance: Maintain rigorous audit processes to ensure data accuracy and strict adherence to state, federal, and international regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Build and maintain influential relationships across the organization to ensure compensation strategies support broader business objectives.
Job Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 7 years’ related compensation experience.
- Expertise: Extensive experience in global compensation administration, including incentive plans and executive compensation preferred.
- Analytical Rigor: Advanced proficiency in data analysis, market benchmarking, and financial modeling.
- Consultative Mindset: Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide clear, research-based recommendations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of FLSA, local labor laws, and global compliance trends.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex compensation data into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Systems Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Human Capital Management (HCM) systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, or SAP SuccessFactors) and compensation survey platforms such as Aon Radford.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas) and experience. Exposure to AI tools preferred.
- Professional Certification: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or PHR/SPHR certification is highly desirable.
- Project Management: Proven track record of leading projects.
Annual Pay Range
107,900 - 165,000 USD
