Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The Senior Manager, FP&A will work closely with executive leadership to develop financial plans and strategies, oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide detailed financial modeling to support decision-making. The role includes analyzing financial performance, identifying opportunities for optimization, and preparing reports to communicate insights to key stakeholders. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and can balance hands‑on analytical work with executive‑level communication and influence.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly reforecasts, and long‑range planning.
- Build and maintain financial models that support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and strategic decision‑making.
- Partner with business leaders to translate operational drivers into financial outcomes.
Reporting & Analysis
- Develop monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis, KPIs, dashboards, and executive insights.
- Analyze trends in revenue, margin, labor, operating expenses, and capital investments.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
Business Partnership
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing financial guidance on business initiatives, pricing, investments, and cost optimization.
- Support HR and Operations with workforce planning, compensation modeling, and productivity analysis.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate business cases, ROI, and capital allocation decisions.
M&A & Integration Support
- Support financial due diligence, modeling, and integration planning for acquisitions.
- Standardize reporting, chart of accounts alignment, and financial processes across acquired entities.
- Partner with HR and Operations to ensure accurate headcount, payroll, and benefits integration into financial models.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Enhance FP&A processes, tools, and reporting frameworks to improve accuracy, speed, and scalability.
- Support implementation or optimization of financial systems (ERP, BI tools, planning software).
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and data governance practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 7–10+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Experience supporting multi‑entity or multi‑location operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial planning tools.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non‑financial leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross‑functional alignment.
Preferred
- MBA, CPA, or CFA.
- Experience in private equity‑backed, high‑growth, or acquisitive environments.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Workday, SAP, etc.) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience supporting HR, Operations, or workforce planning initiatives.
