This position is responsible for managing the Production of semiconductor laser diode-based products for military, industrial, and medical applications. This position is directly involved in the inspection, testing, and assembly of Product while serving as the point of contact between Materials Planning, Engineering, and manufacturing for all tasks including shipping.
Duties include:
- Provide support to the production team members to insure 100% defect free product is produced and on-time delivery is maintained
- Update and maintain accurate transactions on an on-going basis
- Support a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly and test operations in a cleanroom environment, including various optical alignment, attachment, and metrology techniques on individual optical components and sub-assemblies
- Ensure proper procedures are followed and quality standards are maintained
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Train new assembly and test personnel as needed

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of inspection experience using a microscope is required
- Experience assembling/bonding optical components is a plus
- Knowledge of manufacturing and quality assurance standard processes
- Experience using a wire bonder, die bonder, or auto lensing systems is a big plus
- Must be prompt and dependable
- Must work independently as well as with a small team
- PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word
- Good communication skills, work ethic/positive attitude, and attention to details is a requirement
- Currently eligible to work in the US (permanent resident)
Physical Requirements:
Good vision and hand-to-eye coordination. This role involves a large volume of visual inspections involving microscopic parts, very small defects, and an abundant amount of time under a microscope. This person will be seated at a single station for prolonged period of times during the workday.
