The
Senior Compensation Analyst reports to the Total Rewards Director and plays a critical role in supporting the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs at Materion. This position partners closely with HR and business leaders to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices that attract and retain talent. The role also supports the maintenance and optimization of compensation systems and contributes to broader total rewards initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual compensation review processes for merit, bonus, and equity
- Advise HR leaders, Business Partners, and other internal stakeholders on salary proposals, salary structures, job evaluations, promotion requests, and other compensation-related initiatives
- Partner in the development of the strategy, design, analysis, budgeting and implementation of new executive and non-executive reward programs
- Conduct market benchmarking and participate in salary surveys, analyzing data to inform pay positioning and strategy across various geographies and functions
- Serve as the Workday Compensation Partner by maintaining the job catalog, reviewing compensation transactions, conducting data analysis, and performing regular data audits
- Prepare and analyze compensation reports, delivering insights and recommendations to senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in compensation, or related area
- Proficient in HR System Software, Workday preferred
- Experience working with equity compensation or sales incentive programs preferred
- Advanced understanding of job analysis and proper FLSA exempt status evaluation
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis, able to model scenarios and interpret complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
