Description
We are looking for a skilled Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for an individual who thrives in dynamic environments and has a strong background in IT project management. The role involves overseeing complex projects and ensuring their successful execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead change management efforts across all phases of application projects, ensuring smooth transitions and successful outcomes.
Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to align with organizational goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, ensuring all requirements are met.
Utilize Agile Scrum methodologies to manage and track project progress effectively.
Implement and maintain project management tools, such as Atlassian Jira, to enhance workflow and communication.
Manage risks and issues proactively, providing solutions to keep projects on track.
Facilitate regular meetings and status updates to ensure transparency and alignment among team members.
Ensure compliance with certification standards and organizational policies.
Coordinate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of Workday or similar systems.
Provide expert guidance and mentorship to team members to foster growth.
Requirements
Proven experience in IT project management, preferably with large-scale implementations.
Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application in project workflows.
PMP certification or equivalent credentials demonstrating expertise in project management.
Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira for tracking and managing project tasks.
Familiarity with Workday or similar enterprise systems.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and interact with stakeholders.
Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies effectively.
Strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
